Settings[]
Dungeons and Dragons[]
The Shards of Nyrn, The Reign of Emrys, The Secret of Hexador House, and It's Always Magical in Fandelia are set in the world of Ylos, also known as the Generic Fantasy Setting #17735. Curse of Strahd and Wild Beyond the Witchlight both began in this world before moving to Barovia and the Fey Wild, respectively.
The idea behind this world was to develop an organic setting throughout the course of play in an improvisational style. The basic rule during early sessions was that anything that didn't conflict with a previous idea could be used. This has led to a unique setting that the team has grown very fond of.
These games tend to favor a light, satirical tone. The world of Ylos is a fantastical parody of our own, and much of our experiences translate over directly, including things like chain stores and restaurants, ride-share services (usually giant eagles), and even theme parks. It's a lot of fun.
Chronicles of Darkness[]
All Chronicles of Darkness games are set in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. They share the current timeline, give or take a few months, and have the possibility to intersecting casts. Events between the game lines are canonical. Of course, no location or event depicted in the game is actually real. The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is not the meeting place of vampires, for example. At least not as far as we know.
These are our current games set in CofD: Vampire the Requiem, Hunter the Vigil, and Werewolf the Forsaken
Dork Tales has also ran one-shot episodes of the following: Changeling the Lost, Demon the Descent, and Dark Eras.
World of Darkness[]
All games set in the World of Darkness are not connected to the games in the Chronicles of Darkness. Yeah, it can get a bit confusing, but that's what happens when you have multiple game lines.
Storypath System[]
Dork Tales has ran two short Storypath chronicles for Onyx Path Publishing.
- Scion: Heroes for the Holidays
- (Trinity Continuum) Aberrant: Utopia North
